I am mum to 3 wonderful children, married to a lovely man and lucky enough to run my own business in amongst my family.
The children are currently 8 years old and 6 years old (twins – boy/girl). We live in the Midlands in the UK and are really enjoying life at the moment – aside from the odd small issue …
In the grand scheme of things, we are a normal family, with normal family issues … except that one of our children is possibly Aspergic. Granted, only slightly and we probably will never get a diagnosis, but none the less, we have definite Aspergic traits which we are dealing with.
I decided to write this blog as a diary of what we have been going through over the last few years as I felt that there had to be other parents out there who were going through similar situations and battling with a ‘problem’ child without realising that their ‘problem’ child is not really a problem at all – just a young child who is being misunderstood and as a result is acting out. With a little bit of guidance and understanding the situation can (hopefully) be managed better and a level of understanding reached which will enable the child to reach their potential and their parents not to tear their hair out daily.
My aim is to document our journey in the hopes that it will help someone out there
I am not a doctor or anything like that, just a parent who might be in a similar situation to yours.
